"We could easily be

as fragile as snow

when sun comes in

and melts our heart"

KATAR(T)SKI

KATAR(T)SKI (derived from the Greek kátharsis) is the artistic work of the Belgian artist, composer and writer I.D. (1973) from Zingem, East-Flanders.

Through his multidisciplinary approach, I.D. combines large paintings, intriguing sculptures & objects, and music to create a holistic sensory experience. Adding multimedia to his contemporary and conceptual artworks allows immersing oneself in a complete art experience that goes beyond the purely visual. I.D. invites the viewers to reflect on their own place within larger natural and social systems, transforming his artworks into profound meditations on existence. His first realization of art organicism "NEST 51" transcends the typical boundaries of installation art.

With a strong belief that art should not be pigeonholed, I.D. sets no limits for himself, and that makes his oeuvre very diverse in terms of style, technique, but also accessibility.

"Every canvas, every work of art, each title, verse or composition, they are merely the pieces of an unlabeled puzzle. My poems and musical wanderings serve as subtitles and soundtracks, like shortcuts that lead to a better understanding of the core of my work."  (I.D.)

The artwork of KATAR(T)SKI is exhibited in Belgium and abroad, was seen previously on television and featured in a number of leading international publications.
